Purpose:
Highlight the cultural heritage of Nankunshen through an exhibit of appropriately selected cultural items and photographs.
Organizer:
Administrative Committee, Nankunshen Daitian Temple
Scope: Original photographs either featuring images of Nankunshen temple architecture, worship, cultural events, daily activities and scenery or of historical interest. Also, items related to the Nankunshen Daitian temple as well as articles / essays addressing the temple’s history or religious practices.
Eligible Entries:
Original photographs or images of traditional Taiwanese temple
worship, or original articles / essays on topics related to
such.

No deadline; this is a long-term recruitment initiative.

Evaluation &
Selection:
Items will be reviewed and selected by the organizer.
Awards:
NT$500 will be awarded for each photograph selected for special recognition by the organizer. Those who submit items or articles/essays may (1) donate such to the organizer; (2) allow the organizer to photograph such for the temple collection; or (3) discuss with the organizer the terms under which such may enter the temple collection. All entries selected for special recognition by the committee will earn, as appropriate, a certificate of appreciation, donation or collection registration. All such will be included in a special exhibit. Awardees will also receive a specially printed catalogue of the exhibit.
Exhibit
Publications:
Owners of entries
selected for special recognition will be requested to permit the
organizer to exhibit such as part of temple cultural festival
activities as well as include such in relevant published
material. Owners should further allow the organizer rights to
exhibit and publish said entries and the images of such.
Return of Entries: Owners of entries not selected will be
notified by the organizer to make arrangements for their return.
Selected entries will be returned to their owners by registered
post following the exhibit or release of the exhibit
publication.
