Ensuring the harmony of Yin and Yang throughout their earthly realm is the sacred duty of the Five Lords of Nankunshen Daitian Temple. The Lords embark on a formal Grand Inspection once every jiazi (60-year period) since 1683, and 6 Grand Inspections have been made over the past three centuries. 1. 1683 (22nd year of the Kangxi Emperor): Inspection tour by the 3rd Lord Wufu;

2. 1743 (8th year of the Qianlong Emperor): Inspection tour of entire island;

3. 1803 (8th year of the Jiaqing Emperor): Inspection tour of entire island;

4. 1863 (2nd year of the Tongzhi Emperor): Inspection tour of entire island;

5. 1923: Inspection tour of entire island;

6. 1983: Inspection tour of Kaohsiung City by 2nd Lord Chifu.
