Kanglang Inn, the full-service guest lodge located within the temple complex reflects southern Min (southern Fujian Province) aesthetics in its classical design. It was built in commemoration of the miracles performed by the Five Lords which led to their move to the Kanglang highlands. Construction on the inn began in March 1989. Building design was executed by Chen Cheng-hsiung. Chiu Yong-shan of Jiayi City’s Hung Chang Construction Company oversaw construction. Total construction costs were nearly NT$200 million, and the inn formally opened for guests on the 11th of the first lunar calendar month in 1992. The inn’s red walls and white-tiled roof reflect traditional aesthetics. The entire structure exudes artistic sensibilities while embracing appreciated modern conveniences. Kanglang Inn is divided into three ‘sections’, including Beiyuan, Zhong Guan and Nanyuan, with a total of 74 5-star rooms able to accommodate groups, families and single guests. Kunhailou, Kanglang Inn’s own restaurant, can seat up to 2,000 for meals and offers an ideal venue for large meetings / seminars.
